Rachel Wagner

Rachel Wagner, LPC, MA

Rachel Wagner is a psychotherapist with over 14 years of experience.  It is Rachel’s belief that seeking out counseling services is a brave and proactive way to improve one’s quality of life. Rachel strives to tailor all of her clients’ therapeutic journeys to their respective individual hopes, goals, and needs to leave them feeling more complete, joyful, and with a greater understanding of themselves than prior to entering therapy.  Rachel aims to create a warm, kind, inclusive, and safe therapeutic space that is free of judgment and open to what the client brings to each session. Rachel particularly enjoys working with clients through transitional periods in their life. Rachel aims to help process shifts that are taking place and how to find roots and grounding in the next steps, whether it be a developmental or lifestyle transition, a vocational change, starting a parenting journey, the empty nest phase, divorce, or recovering from a loss.

Rachel uses a client-centered and strength-based approach to treatment, working with clients to achieve their therapeutic goals. Rachel joins the client where they are at and aims to meet their therapeutic needs whether that be processing and healing from past challenges or traumas, or working towards positive change. Rachel works with clients to reduce emotional pain and work towards joy and fulfillment.

Education

Rachel received a BA in psychology from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee during which time she focused on elements of health psychology as well as working with neurodivergent populations. Rachel went on to receive her Masters in Clinical Psychology from Cardinal Stritch University during which time Rachel focused on factors that contribute to and create traits of resilience as well as completed an internship working with individuals, couples, and families. She holds licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC, in the state of Wisconsin and maintains regular clinical supervision and professional development to enhance the quality of her work.
